Before you install the theme, you should follow the method below that these themes work well.

First I suggest to you in order to create a Restore Point. Because if there is an error when installing, you do not need to worry.

How to Create a Restore Point?

• Open the Control Panel, select System and Security - Select System.
• On the options on the left, click System Protection.

• When the System Properties tab appears, please select the Local Disk (c) (System). Then click the Create button.

• After that, give the name to the restore point and click Create.
• Completed

Note: You do not need to use the Restore Point if an error occurs during installation.

If you have created a restore point, and then we went straight to the tutorial.





How to Use 3rd Party Themes in Windows 7

Follow these instructions carefully, do not miss a step.
In this tutorial, you need to patch the system files needed to run the theme of the 3rd party.

First download the file to patch: Mediafire

1. Universal Theme Patcher

This software is used to patch 3 files, related to the theme. That themeservice.dll, themeui.dll and uxtheme.dll.
There are two versions of this software, Universal Theme Patcher x64 and Universal Theme Patcher x86.

Note: If your system uses a 64-bit then you should use UTP x64 and if your system uses 32-bit then you should use UTP x86. Make no mistake !!!

How to use?
• Open the Universal Theme Patcher with the "Run as Administrator"
• Select a language
• You will get the message "this OS needs to patch 3 file (s)" - Click Yes


• On themeservice.dll tab, the tab and tabs themeui.dll uxtheme.dll, you must click the button patch One by One.

Note: when you click patch on one of the tabs there, do not click the patch from another tab until you get the message. "Patch Succes"

• If you already patch the all files, please restart your computer.
• Then you can use the theme from the theme of the 3rd party freely.





After the patch the file using Universal Theme Patcher, next is to patch the file Exploler.

Before you patch the Windows Installer scene, let's do Take Ownership these files, exploreframe.dll and shell32.dll

How?
• Open the folder take ownership
• Double-click InstallTakeOwnership.reg - Continue or Yes
• Open the Local Disk (c) (system) -Windows-system32
• Search ExploreFrame.dll - right click - choose take ownership
• Search Shell32.dll - right click - choose take ownership
• Completed

2. Windows Theme Installer

This tool is used to patch 2 files, exploreframe.dll and shell32.dll. What for? 2 files should be patched first, so you can display the folder background in windows explorer and background on the desktop personalization.

Slightly different from the Universal Theme Patcher, for Windows Installer scene, I prepare patched file. There are also two versions, exploreframe.dll for 32-bit and 64-bit and shell32.dll for 32-bit and 64-bit.

Note: 32-bit systems, using 86 and 64-bit systems, use 64. Do Wrong !!!

How to patch?

• Open Windows Theme Installer with the "Run as Administrator"


• Click the check box on ExploreFrame.dll and Shell32.dll
• Click Browse and open files required


Note: 32-bit systems, using 86 and 64-bit systems, use 64. Do Wrong !!!

• Do the same for shell32.dll


Note: 32-bit systems using x86 and 64-bit systems, use x64. Do Wrong !!!

• If you have done the above instructions, click on the Install Themes (Not Apply Theme)


• Finish, restart your PC / Computer

If you have done all of the above instructions, then you are ready to use the theme.
